Prof. Dr. Zafar Mohammad Masud Leads Successful “Understanding Breast Cancer” Session at BRAC University

A special awareness seminar titled “Understanding Breast Cancer”, organized by the Department of Pharmacy at BRAC University, was successfully held recently. The keynote speaker for this seminar was Professor Dr. Zafar Mohammad Masud, Founder and President of the Cancer Patient Support and Welfare Organisation (CPSWO).

Professor Dr. Zafar Mohammad Masud presented an information-rich discussion on breast cancer. His talk covered the causes of breast cancer, risk factors, primary symptoms, the importance of early detection, and the modern treatment methods currently available, all in detail.

The session was highly significant for the students of BRAC University and became more interactive through a vital Question and Answer segment. The main objective of the event was to disseminate accurate information about cancer awareness and prevention among the younger generation.

Role of CPSWO: CPSWO is constantly working to promote cancer prevention, increase awareness, and provide humanitarian aid to underprivileged cancer patients in society. This awareness seminar at BRAC University is an important step in achieving that broader goal. It is hoped that such initiatives will further strengthen the collective fight against cancer in the future.
